Tullamore Canal Walk
This walk follows the Grand Canal from Tullamore to Edenderry in County Offaly.
The route heads east from Tullamore passing the town of Daingean before coming to Edenderry. Here you can enjoy a walk along the Edenderry Branch of the canal before finishing in the town.
Along the way you will pass pretty canal locks and old bridges while enjoying some fine views of the Offaly countryside.
To continue your walking around Tullamore head north to visit the ancient Durrow Abbey. The interesting medieval site includes several notable ancient features, a picturesque walled garden and some peaceful woodland trails.
